Hello to all the Rouser readers!

I can’t believe this day has come. The first NBA Finals game seven since 2016! This year’s finals has been one of the best, probably since the 2020 finals when the Lakers won.

I’m hoping for a Pacers win, but if it’s a fun game to watch I won’t complain about anything.

In Gophers news, Megan Davis covered the NCAA track and field championships, where Minnesota performed extremely well. The men’s team sent enough players to qualify for a team ranking, earning 7th place in the nation! Ali Weimer became the first Gophers woman to run the 10k in under 33 minutes!

Finally, make sure to check out this year’s men’s basketball roster tracker, find out what next season’s roster will shape up to be!

Go Gophs,

Best finish for men’s track and field at the NCAA Championships in decades

by Megan Davis | Published June 15, 2025

The NCAA Championships ended in Eugene, Oregon at Hayward Field on Saturday, along with the track and field season.

The Gophers men finished seventh, their highest finish since 1948. The Gopher women did not have enough athletes in attendance to place as a team, but they saw good performances from redshirt sophomore Ali Weimer and graduate student Dyandra Gray.
