The Rouser

Hello to all my Rouser readers! I have missed you all!

Not much is going on in the world of Gophers sports, but the track and field team is making up for the lack of athletics this far into the year. The Gophers sent 12 athletes from the men’s and women’s teams. Reporter Megan Davis covered the NCAA West Regionals from the end of May so make sure to check in with her newest story!

I wish I could have been putting out Rousers during these NBA playoffs because they have been insane. Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers are lighting up every team they face and didn’t stop in Game One of the NBA finals. They are the definition of “save your best for last.”

Now it’s time for Gophers track and field to show they saved their best for last!

by Megan Davis | Published June 6, 2025

The 2025 track and field postseason ends where it began, at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field.

After 39 Gophers qualified for the NCAA West Regionals at Texas A&M, 12 moved on to the NCAA Championships — ten from the men’s track and field team and two from the women’s.

The first qualifiers of the meet came from the men’s 4×100 meter relay team, consisting of senior Devin Augustine, graduate student Kion Benjamin, and juniors Aaron Charles and Zion Campbell.
