The Rouser

Oct. 27, 2025

Good afternoon readers,

With all sports in high-gear right now, I’m curious which one do you prioritize? I am suddenly obsessed with hockey again. Check out Sam Roering’s stories on women’s hockey, and Regan Guirguis has been diligently reporting on the ups and downs of Gophers men’s hockey, if you’re in a similar place as me.

Also, can you believe how long they let Carson Wentz play that game, let Brosmer see some snaps!

Enjoy your week,

Gophers rally around suspended teammates ahead of Duluth series

As the final face-off of Sunday’s Gopher women’s hockey game against the Ohio State University concluded, tempers boiled over.

Moments after the last puck drop, an Ohio State player pushed down and cross-checked Minnesota’s junior Emma Kreisz. What started as normal shoving escalated quickly after the whistle.

That is because just a few feet away, sophomore Gracie Graham and freshman Kassidy Carmichael began exchanging punches fresh out of the box. Three Buckeyes quickly joined in, all going after Graham. Sophomore Chloe Primerano was the first Minnesota player to come to Graham’s defense.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers joined the Top 25 Associated Press poll at No. 25 and got kicked out the next week, thanks to the Gophers’ defense that kept them away from a touchdown.
