Happy Super Bowl Sunday folks!
If you're not familiar, the game will have three Gophers alumni competing for a Super Bowl ring! DE Boye Made and TE Nick Kallerup for the Seahawks, and LB Jack Gibbens for the Patriots. So no matter what, a Gopher comes out victorious. Personally, I am rooting for the Seahawks cause I am still worn out from the 2010s Patriots.
Regardless, enjoy your Sunday, watch Minnesota athletes dominate at the Winter Olympics and read some of our sports stories this week,

One of the most important decisions the Gophers had to make ahead of last week’s University of Wisconsin series was not a decision about plays or ice time.
With both captains, graduate student Abbey Murphy and senior Nelli Laitinen, leaving to represent their respective countries at the Olympics, a new role emerged. Though the Gophers have many voices in the locker room, they needed someone to wear a letter and represent the team during the next month’s stretch without Murphy and Laitinen.
Head coach Brad Frost and his coaching staff did not assign this spot themselves. Instead, they turned to the team, asking every player to write down two names and explain why those players would be good leaders.
