Top of the morning,

It’s the first night of sub zero temps, and Minnesota has frozen over like the last layer of Dantes Inferno. Warm your condemned (to finals) souls with a steaming cup of news.

On city, check out a story about Minneapolis’ Gingerbread Wonderland exhibit. A&E has three stories today — about a community-organized fashion show, a “Zootopia 2” Movie review and a “Hamnet” movie review. On opinions, a great piece about the decline of Dinkytown. Finally, we are featuring our podcast content on sports and general news, so take a look around there. I’m sure something will catch your eye.

Stay frosty,

Gingerbread Wonderland returns to Minneapolis

by Shay Scanlan | City Reporter | Published Dec. 4, 2025

The smell of ginger wafts from the Gingerbread Wonderland village at the Minneapolis Norway House, where more than 200 gingerbread creations sit on snow-like fabric surrounded by twinkling lights.

The exhibit is inspired by Pepperkakebyen, the world’s largest gingerbread city in Bergen, Norway, and runs until early January.

In its 11th year, the Norway House display takes about three weeks to assemble and has become a beloved tradition at the center, drawing roughly 13,000 visitors last year, said Gingerbread Wonderland coordinator Heather Vick.
