Hey….
I’m going to start this out candid. I wasn’t born an extrovert, but I’m working on it. Hard.
This past Saturday, I won $64 in poker ($20 buy in). For me, that’s pretty good, but my wins are happenstance. I’ve been called an “inconsistent” player, and I know it’s because I just can’t seem to get a firm grip on betting strategies.
I’m not willing to play victim early in humiliation rituals by betting any more than $5, even when I have pocket pairs. I have rent to pay. And yet, later burning midnight oil, I bet $15 pre-flop in front of esteemed company. I know what I did wrong now. Bluffing, however, is a strange strain of intimacy I think I can reach in a broad sense. We’ll see how it goes from here.
In news, I’ve got a few things you should keep an eye on. The University of Minnesota’s women’s hockey graduating class is listening intently to hear their names recognized at the PWHL Draft, and there’s also a new podcast out about doomscrolling habits. Pay attention to the campus stories this week as well, they may integrally change the way you view the people in charge of your education.
If anyone can help me play poker, please let me know. This is a cry for help.
Keep rocking in the free world.

The season might not have ended the way the University of Minnesota women’s hockey seniors and graduate students wanted. They spent months chasing a national title, only to see the season come to an abrupt end, missing the Frozen Four.
The loss has lingered, but as the Professional Women’s Hockey League Draft approaches Wednesday night, six former Gophers are turning their attention toward the next step of their hockey careers.
