Daily Breakdown
Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025
It is finally Wednesday. I may have said that last Wednesday, but the sentiment still applies. The amount of sleep I have been getting recently would have many people shake their heads in disappointment and widen their eyes out of concern. As a result, my brain is limited with ideas on what to write.
However, the Daily is not limited on articles for you to read. Special legislative session, new art exhibition and a column on Sister Cindy. So scroll down and read the news.
Stay golden,

Special legislative gun control session could be harder than expected
by Maya Bell | City Reporter | Published Sept. 17, 2025
Gov. Tim Walz announced Tuesday he is seeking a special legislative session focused on banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, though he cautioned the process may face significant obstacles.
The call follows a school shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in South Minneapolis. In response to the incident, activists and medical professionals have advocated for an assault rifle ban.
A special session can only be called by the governor, who must meet with legislative leaders for agreement to discuss the topic of the session, according to Minnesota law. After they discuss topics to be covered, the governor will call the date and time of the special session.

At the epicenter of these whispers, snickers and erupting in laughter was Sister Cindy, brandishing a sign that read “Hell is hot, don’t be a T.H.O.T.” |
