Daily Breakdown

Hi everyone,
I'm Wren, your favorite opinions desk editor. I want to sincerely congratulate each and every one of you for making it to spring break. I can't decide if this has been history's shortest or longest semester thus far, so I'll leave that up to you. In the midst of this much-needed break from countless readings and lectures, I'm here to offer you some more entertaining reads.
We've got columns on technology and TikTok, a letter to our favorite university president and a piece on the age-old question of how powerful men get away with assaulting women. But don't go yet! We also have a cartoon on students' anxieties about ICE and, on a more light-hearted note, a special opinions podcast on the "Heated Rivalry" effect. Are you coming to the cottage?
Opinionatedly yours,
Wren Warne-Jacobsen | Opinions Editor | [email protected]

Satire: Dear Becca

Hey girl! It’s been a while!! How was the retreat? Wow, this weather has been really something. Can you believe it?
What you said about these times being “remarkably difficult” really resonated with me. Thank you so much for writing that. It was definitely the right move to give teachers the option to make classes hybrid — COVID throwback! Lol.
Oh my gosh, I heard about those students who chained themselves to your office building! Are you OK? Do you feel safe? Do you feel the need to make a buddy system to walk across campus? I can pick you up some groceries at the Nutritious U Food Pantry if you’re scared of being harassed and interrogated just for leaving your house.
