Campus offices and student groups closed without warning on Thursday after a threat was emailed to the University Office of Equity and Diversity, according to Black Student Union President Gutu Chinksso.
Chinksso said he heard the OED received an email earlier in the day threatening to shoot Black people on campus through different individuals involved in the OED and in the BSU group chat.
UMPD released a SAFE-U alert at 3:30 stating the threat assessment team determined the threat was not credible.
