Teamsters turn down final UMN offer

The University of Minnesota’s Teamsters Local 320, a Minneapolis worker’s union chapter, announced Wednesday morning it had voted down the University’s final offer, calling it an insult to the union.
The Teamsters announced early August they filed an intent to strike with the University as labor bargaining negotiations stagnated. While votes on the University’s offer continue on the Duluth and Crookston campuses, the Teamsters said the offer is projected to be voted down and the strike initiated Friday..
