Suspected ICE apprehension in front of East River Road Garage

At around 4:25 p.m. Friday, a University community member witnessed 5 to 6 members of an unidentified law enforcement agency detain an individual in an unmarked vehicle on East River Parkway, outside of East River Road Garage.

A University representative said a law enforcement agency apprehended the man, though they did not specify the agency. The representative said there was no prior communication regarding the apprehension, and did not know if the man was affiliated with the University, though it was likely not a student or community member.

The University community member, who chose not to be identified, said the apprehension lasted roughly five minutes. After the detention, the community member said the unidentified agency directed traffic as the vehicle was towed away.
