Incumbent Mayor Jacob Frey won the Minneapolis Mayoral election with main challengers Sen. Omar Fateh (DFL-Minneapolis), DeWayne Davis and Jazz Hampton falling behind on Wednesday morning.

Frey won 73,723 votes after a second round of ranked choice voting, compared to runner-up Fateh's 65,377 votes.

Mayor since 2017 and reelected in 2021, Frey has now entered his third four-year term as Minneapolis mayor. His campaign focused on expanding current housing initiatives and continuing efforts to reform the Minneapolis Police Department.
