Reports of shots fired in Dinkytown

The University of Minnesota Police Department reported shots were fired on the corner of 4th Street Southeast and 12th Avenue Southeast at roughly 4:00 pm Monday, according to a Dinkytown Alert released to the public.

According to the alert, two male suspects fled the scene of the shooting, and UMPD officers are now handling the investigation. The alert advises members of the public to avoid the area at this time.

University officials say there is no additional information to offer at this time.
